Why you must write (private revelation for housetop publicity)

Why you must write (private revelation for housetop publicity)

What I tell you in darkness, that speak you in light: and what you hear in the ear, that preach you upon the housetops.  (Matthew 10:27)

Making information public is what they call publishing.  Remember, writers are first hearers then writers.  Writing requires you to hear in secret.  The writer’s hearing is not for the writer alone.  The writer’s hearing is for public announcement.  We hear for the sake of publishing.

In Matthew 10, Jesus is instructing His apostles as He sends them on the gospel mission.  The captioned is one of the things He tells them: What I tell you in darkness …..that preach you upon the housetops.

What Jesus tells His apostles “in darkness” refers to private revelation and discoveries of information.  They are not meant to be hidden and buried with you.

“Preach upon the housetops..” is a metaphor for the public declaration of a message to a wide audience.  It is a license to announce a message to the world.

Writing is a unique way of preaching upon the housetops.  Once you write, there are many methods to make the message fly.  The internet and social media in particular are modern day types of housetop from which you can announce your message through writing.
