Growth – insisting on the testimony

Growth – insisting on the testimony

For as the rain comes down, and the snow from heaven, and returns not there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater: So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it. (Isaiah 55:10-11)

The Word of God has its instructions from the Father – “DO NOT return to me without a testimony!” The Word of God knows not to return to the Father without following the instruction.

However, many of us in our immaturity send the word back to the Lord with complaints, doubts and “it’s not working.” Growth, faith and maturity are true in your life when you can hold on to the word and insist on the outcomes promised.

You cease to complain. You speak and behave consistent with the promise of the Word. You refuse to budge. You refuse to send back a complaint. You speak in worship, in confidence. The integrity of God is such that He is His Word. You cannot separate Him from the things He says. What I say about His word or how I behave in relation to His Word betrays my estimation of His personality and dependability.

Faith is my opinion of who God is.
